A: Hi, My Geo Prizm has treated me right for the last 5 years,?
Thanks for getting back. I ended up going to the local garage and they said that if the mounts are ok, than it would be "about $300." I should have asked for a price with factory parts, that's a good idea. I'm going to have it worked on Wednesday, and I feel certain that he'll do a quality job, (he has in the past.) Farmington's nice, and I like that part of Maine. Compared to Cali though, I'm pretty sure I'd head west too. We live in Fort Kent and are expecting spring sometime in July. Enjoy, Jeremy
Mechanic Q: Hi, My Geo Prizm has treated me right for the last 5 years,?
Hi, My Geo Prizm has treated me right for the last 5 years, and I feel that it has more years in-store for me. Lately, after some very cold weather (-30 below) my rear struts began to stick, now the rear just bounces down the road after bumps. Last winter, after cold weather this happened, but with warmer weather the struts thawed and it returned to normal. Well, I called the local garage and they quoted $500 for the job, stating that the struts were expensive and the car should be re-aligned afterward. This makes sense, I guess. My question is about the price the GM garage is charging; things are pricey at this place, and in N. Maine everthing is generally more expensive due to the "end-of-the-earth" phenomena. Thanks for your time, Jeremy
